I am sorry (2023)

The video work is based on stories I collected from the residents of Acre, a mixed city of Jews and Arabs in the north of Isreal. In the video work, digital characters read The text from the meetings using artificial intelligence technology. Initially, the digital characters were used for presentations and lesson plans. They offer the reader minimal facial expressions and a monotonous tone, so the display becomes objective and lacks a personal touch. In an age where artificial intelligence-based writing technology is gaining momentum, the writer's place within the space becomes more acute: does he still have a functional role? What is human writing, if it has a place at all?

Working with digital characters creates a certain distance between the story and the audience; I want to make the viewer think about the truthfulness of what he sees; this comes from the combination of the human component and new technology.
