Art force 1
Art Force 1 adapts the methods of military psychological warfare to an art project. A remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicle carries up to one kilogram of artworks, becoming a mobile exhibition space that appears in different locations. Its title plays on Air Force One: instead of borrowing military authority, I borrow the symbolic power of international contemporary art.
The project asks whether an artwork can function as propaganda, what it advocates, and whom it represents. Can art reach beyond its own circles to generate social awareness?
Flight No. 1
International artists were invited online to respond to propaganda through images and text. More than 60 works were brought together for the first stage, presented at the Digital Art Lab in Holon. The project addressed paranoia, intercultural conflict, psychological warfare, and deliberate disinformation.
Flight No. 2
In collaboration with HEB2, a community television project in Hebron, artworks were made with local children and released beyond the city limits, into areas the children could not enter. The action responded to restrictions on Palestinian residents in a city whose centre contains Israeli settlements.
