This performance draws inspiration from documentation of the monument removal of a slave trader in Bristol. Activists rolled it across the streets and ultimately threw it in the river. This performance is a loose reenactment of this scene, in which I, blindfolded, played the role of the statue alongside masked participants who screamed, hit and threw things at me while documenting everything on their phones. It took place during “Loving Art” events, across Rothschild boulevard.
